Every change
Everything that changed in NestCore, newest first.
NestCore 2.30
24 Oct 2026
- On a laptop or desktop the whole page scrolls, like a website, wherever your mouse is.
- Your calendar, if you want it: on the Calendar page, show NestCore in Apple or Google Calendar with a private link, or connect Google Calendar to see your Google events here.
NestCore 2.29
24 Oct 2026
- NestCore has a new address for good: nestcore-app.pages.dev. Log in with the email and password you already use, and your data comes along.
- Logging in takes a moment longer: your password is now protected on your phone before it is sent.
- Today's session can always be changed on Train: following your weekly split too, and the one you did last time can be picked again.
NestCore 2.28
24 Oct 2026
- The apps moved to a new address. Accounts did not move with them: create your account again, and what is on this device stays.
- The top bar and the menu say the full name now.
- Calendar days on a laptop are smaller, and the day under your mouse is never covered by its neighbours.
- The cover on Today shows the whole car.
- In the menu, a section and its first page no longer touch.
NestCore 2.27
24 Oct 2026
- Fixed: on a laptop, the mouse wheel scrolls the page from anywhere, also over the side menu and the top bar.
NestCore 2.26
24 Oct 2026
- The command palette button is gone from the top bar. Ctrl+K still opens it.
NestCore 2.25
23 Oct 2026
- Fixed: workouts, weigh-ins and today are dated by your own clock. Late evening workouts were sometimes filed under the next day.
- Fixed: a streak no longer drops to 0 until you train that day.
- Fixed: dates and numbers read the same way everywhere.
- On a laptop or a tablet, NestCore has a side menu, and Today is a dashboard with your cover picture, a live clock and the day as a line that fills.
- New on wide screens: a Today timeline. Your morning steps in time order with a marker for now; tick them off right there.
NestCore 2.24
23 Oct 2026
- Strength by muscle counts all your lifts, not only your best one: a muscle is the average of its three strongest, with machines and cables counting half.
- Tap a muscle to see every lift behind it, with its level and what the next one takes.
- The long explanation is behind a small How this is measured link.
NestCore 2.23
23 Oct 2026
- Exercises you mark as One side in NestFit count properly on the strength map: a one side set on a machine or cable counts close to what both sides together would lift.
NestCore 2.22
22 Oct 2026
- More of your exercises count on the muscle map, including ones written differently from the library and ones you set up yourself in NestFit.
- Every workout is kept. Before, only the last 60 were.
NestCore 2.21
15 Oct 2026
- The overall strength score now runs from 0 to 100 inside each rank. At 100 you move up to the next rank and it starts again at 0.
NestCore 2.20
15 Oct 2026
- Strength by muscle starts with one overall level for your whole body, a score out of 100, and how much it moved in the last 4 weeks.
NestCore 2.19
15 Oct 2026
- Strength by muscle now uses the average of five published sources, for your age, sex and bodyweight, and ranks 136 lifts instead of 36, curls and bodyweight exercises included.
- If your age or sex is missing, you are asked once. Other and Rather not say use the midpoint between the standards for men and for women.
NestCore 2.18
15 Oct 2026
- The page no longer slides sideways when you scroll, on Body or anywhere else.
NestCore 2.17
12 Oct 2026
- Nine lifts added to the exercise library: T's, Y's, I's, band rear delt, band pull apart, internal and external rotation, isometric bicep holds and a slow cable curl for tendon rehab.
NestCore 2.16
12 Oct 2026
- The thin scroll bar at the edge of the screen is gone.
NestCore 2.15
12 Oct 2026
- The apps moved to a new address. Accounts did not move with them: create your account again, and what is on this device stays.
NestCore 2.14
12 Oct 2026
- Strength by muscle now uses published strength standards instead of rough ones, so the levels are stricter in places and fairer in others. Each row shows the set you did and what the next level starts at. Pull-ups, chin-ups and dips are judged by reps.
NestCore 2.13
12 Oct 2026
- Strength by muscle now measures 36 lifts, up from 13, including cable rows, pushdowns, dumbbell work and pull-ups, chin-ups and dips. It also names the lifts you logged that it cannot measure.
NestCore 2.12
12 Oct 2026
- A new device starts with a welcome that asks you to log in or create an account. It used to ask for a secret sync key. Sync keys still work, from Settings.
NestCore 2.11
12 Oct 2026
- Body: your weight is shown in your own unit, to one decimal. It was printed in kilograms at full length with lbs written after it.
NestCore 2.10
12 Oct 2026
- The old loading screen is gone. It used to show after the startup animation while the app waited for the server.
- Staying signed in: the app could ask for a new login token several times at once, which can end the session early. It asks once now.
NestCore 2.9
11 Oct 2026
- What’s new no longer comes back every time you open the app. It shows once per release, per device.
- Your phone no longer offers to fill in your password when you open the app.
- The bottom bar has its full height on phones with a home indicator: the icons are no longer squeezed against the top edge.
- Zooming is off.
NestCore 2.8
11 Oct 2026
- A new look, the same as NestFit: a warm dark ground with a green light, one typeface, and nothing smaller than 12 px.
- The Dashboard is redrawn around the daily score, as one large ring with its four parts under it. The mood buttons and the emoji are gone.
- Body: the muscle figure, each muscle coloured by how strong it is. Your best set of the last 12 weeks on a standard lift, against your bodyweight, on five levels.
- The assistant button lives in the top bar instead of floating over the content.
- The startup animation plays every time the app opens. On a phone it was skipped after the first open, and the old loading screen showed in its place.
- The link to NestFit and the server address follow the sites to their new names.
NestCore 2.7
7 Oct 2026
- Opening the app for the first time goes straight to the name screen. The main screen used to flash up for a moment first.
- The old loading screen no longer shows through at the end of the startup animation. The animation clears straight into the app.
NestCore 2.6
23 Sep 2026
- Settings opens properly on iPhone again. It was there all along, but behind the dimmed layer that belongs behind it, so everything looked blurred and nothing could be tapped.
- Used the app before the September move? Log in, open Settings and tap Bring back data from the old app. Type your old sync key and your history comes back. Nothing is deleted, and it only fills an account that is still empty.
- Your data export is now named after the app it came from.
- You can delete your account in Settings. It removes everything in it, on every device, and your login. Type DELETE to confirm.
- New accounts are for people aged 13 and over. The month and year you were born are checked on your device and never saved.
- The terms, the privacy policy and a page with every change are linked at the bottom of Settings.
- A new look when the app opens: the name draws itself in light, then clears into the app. Tap to skip it. It plays once each time you open the app.
- A new icon. A phone keeps the old picture until the app is removed from the home screen and added again. Removing it can erase what the app saved on that phone, so only do it after Settings, Export backup, or once you are logged in and synced.
- An About page for each app, in the new shared look, linked from Settings.
NestCore 2.5
18 Sep 2026
- Links from NestCore into NestFit work again. Both apps moved to new web addresses after an outage, and those links still went to NestFit's old one.
NestCore 2.4
8 Sep 2026
- On iPhone the bottom of every page is reachable again. The bar at the bottom grows to clear the home indicator, but the page underneath was not making room for it, so the last thing on a page stayed hidden.
- Today’s card in the gym split is readable again. It turns white to mark today, and the writing on it had stayed the grey that is meant for the dark background.
- A rest day no longer shows up as exercises to beat.
NestCore 2.3
7 Sep 2026
- Fixed: on the installed app the top bar ran off the edge of the screen, so FOCUS was clipped and the settings gear was not reachable at all. The bar now fits, and it keeps clear of the status bar.
- Settings is one place now, the gear in the top bar, and it opens over the page you are on instead of replacing it. Whatever you were doing is still there when you close it.
- The clock is hidden on phones, since your phone is already showing you one.
- The home screen icon says NestCore instead of BATCAVE.
NestCore 2.2
7 Sep 2026
- Winston now signs in with your account rather than your sync key, the same way everything else in the app already did.
- There is a daily message limit so a bug can never run up a bill on its own.
NestCore 2.1
7 Sep 2026
- Weights here now follow the units you picked in NestFit, so the two apps always agree.
- Nothing you have logged changed. The numbers are stored one way and shown the way you prefer.
NestCore 2.0
30 Aug 2026
- Accounts. Sign up with an email and password in Settings, and your data follows you to any device.
- Your data is now stored under a private id instead of your sync key, so the storage no longer contains anything that identifies you.
- Your old sync key still works. Nothing was deleted, and you can keep using it if you prefer.
- Two devices can no longer overwrite each other. Log a meal on your phone and tick a habit on your laptop, and both survive.
- A badge in the top bar always shows whether you are synced to an account, using a sync key, or local to this device. Tap it to sign in.
NestCore 1.9
29 Aug 2026
- Log out, under Settings. Forgets your sync key and clears the device, and leaves your cloud copy alone.
- Warns you and offers a backup first if nothing is synced.
- This screen: after an update you get the short version of what changed. Reopen it any time from Settings.
NestCore 1.8
29 Aug 2026
- Progress: pick an exercise from a dropdown instead of scrolling a rail of pills.
- Real line graphs with a labelled axis and dates, for strength and body weight.
NestCore 1.7
29 Aug 2026
- More than one countdown, sorted by whichever lands next.
- The mission line changes every day. Edit the list in Settings.
- Goal fund takes withdrawals and can go negative. Now in dollars.
NestCore 1.6
28 Aug 2026
- TIME switch: count seconds instead of reps, for planks and holds.
- WEIGHTED switch: add load to a bodyweight lift, for sit-ups with a plate.
NestCore 1.5
27 Aug 2026
- Rate how hard a set was, 1 to 10, on a slider that opens under it.
- An easy set gets a double jump; an all-out set holds instead of asking for more.
NestCore 1.4
26 Aug 2026
- Tap the tick in the exercise library to take something back out.
- Backups now carry your settings, including the calorie and protein targets.
NestCore 1.3
25 Aug 2026
- Rest timer length is yours to set, or off entirely.
- Delete a logged session. Targets and records recalculate without it.
- Meals take decimals.
NestCore 1.2
24 Aug 2026
- Follow the weekly split, or pick your session from a dropdown each day.
- The session you did last is off the list, so you cannot repeat it back to back.
- Drag exercises to reorder them instead of tapping arrows.
NestCore 1.1
23 Aug 2026
- 192 exercises with descriptions, searchable, grouped by muscle.
- A front and back muscle map showing what each lift trains.
NestCore 1.0
22 Aug 2026
- Progressive overload: every lift gets a target and a reason.
- Double progression, with a deload when a lift stalls.
